Racing Official

Participate in taking entries. Weekly assist, the official clocker in accurate timing and publishing of workouts. Act as a Placing Judge, Paddock Judge, or Claiming Clerk as needed.

Assistant Racing Secretary

Oversee entries and ensure compliance and eligibility of all horses entered to participate in racing according to all state, local, and federal regulations. Communicate with several jurisdictions, including the State Commission, State Stewards, HISA representatives, and both track and state veterinarians. Occasionally assist, the official clocker in accurate timing and publishing of workouts. Act as a Placing Judge, Paddock Judge, or Claiming Clerk as needed.

Racing Safety Manager

Establish guidelines and protocols to meet standards set forth by HISA Rule 2131, 2136, and 2160. This involves overseeing equine safety, racetrack safety, and risk management. There is communication with Regulatory Veterinarians, the Staff Nurse and Doctors, the Outriders, and the Clocker, the Stewards, and jockeys. Also, serve as a liaison between the horsemen and track management on issues of safety in the barn area and track conditions.
