Account Manager - TrackMaster

COMPANY OVERVIEW

TrackMaster, an Equibase Company, provides data to horse racing handicappers of every skill level. There are several product lines of varying depth for horse racing products. TrackMaster includes data for Thoroughbred, Quarter Horse and Harness Racing information, thus making TrackMaster the only company with the ability to provide data on the three major breeds of racing.

In addition to raw data, TrackMaster also provides many enhanced and value-added statistics for horse racing, including the TrackMaster proprietary Power Ratings, Equibase Speed Figures, Equibase Class Ratings, TrackMaster Pace Style Figures, Equibase Pace Figures, sire and dam statistics, jockey, driver and trainer statistics, in addition to investment return (ROI) statistics.

In 2018, TrackMaster began providing timing and video graphics services to tracks, initially through GPS technology and then through electronic beam technology that it acquired from American Teletimer Corporation. With the information provided from these services, TrackMaster will be able to deliver a more comprehensive data set to handicappers and other customers that follow racing.

ACCOUNT MANAGER, HORSE RACING TRACK SERVICES SUMMARY

Provide installation and support services to customers that consume TrackMaster timing services

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Performs onsite surveys, installations and support of timing services to Thoroughbred and Harness racetrack customers

· Manages logistics of racing services equipment installations and maintenance of existing systems to ensure system function and accurate data output.

· Liaises with racetrack personnel, internal team members, track and field staff, as well as third parties to ensure timing services are being provided to customer’s satisfaction

· Trains racetrack personnel on use of timing systems

· Monitors system performance and works to resolve non-standard performance

· Keeps management and team members apprised of scheduled and completed work, system performance, equipment status and general account activity

· Participates in team meetings where applicable

· Ensures that all deadlines are met

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

4-year College degree preferred

Minimum of 5 years in the work force

General understanding of horse racing

Account management experience

Technology background a plus

KNOWLEDGE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS

Very strong written and oral communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and achieve successful results

Detail oriented

Ability to travel on short notice

40% - 60% travel likely

Strong basic computer skills (not programming)

Understanding of timing, video and automated tracking technology (including GPS) a plus

Mechanically minded a plus

· Ability to see and hear when working in the field, video timing race, communicating face-to-face and telephone conversations

· Close vision is required for computer use, reading, and working on equipment

· Distance vision is required to visually confirm beam connectivity as far as 100 feet away, and confirm readings on tote boards on track infields.

· Comfort in working in elevated open-air areas of buildings (rooftop)

· Ability to work outdoors in all North American climates

· Mobility to walk around and work on multiple racetrack surfaces (concrete, dirt, turf and artificial surfaces)

· Ability to bend, crouch, reach, climb ladders, and dig in dirt or turf

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is a remote position, working from home when not traveling

Traveling will comprise of commercial flying, driving long distances and use of employee-owned reliable automobile. All travel expenses are reimbursed by the company.

Employee must have and maintain a valid drivers license and have no restrictions to renting an automobile for company travel where applicable.
